Psychotherapist

A psychotherapist is a trained mental health professional who specializes in providing therapy and counselling to individuals, couples, families, or groups. Using evidence-based techniques and approaches, psychotherapists help clients explore and address a wide range of emotional, behavioural, and psychological issues.

Alpar finished formal training in Social Service Work and Drug and Alcohol Counselling at Northern College in 1996. He specialized in working with Indigenous Peoples. He has over 25 years of experience supporting people with their mental health goals, including adults and adolescents.

Alpar worked in the Children’s Mental Health Field for 19 years as a school-based therapist supporting children, youth and their families. More recently, Alpar worked for the Ontario Structured Psychotherapy Program as a psychotherapist, Clinical Consultant, and Faculty Member.

Alpar is a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) expert specializing in providing therapy to those with anxiety, depression and other mental health conditions. Learn more about CBT for anxiety

He hopes to provide you with a safe and non-judgmental space to work towards creating meaningful changes in your life. Alpar provides therapy to children, youth and adults (12 years of age+)

Alpar’s rate is $170 for a 50-minute session.
