Jennifer is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) based in Ottawa, who holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Psychology (University of Ottawa, 2003) and a Master’s degree in counselling (Saint Paul University, 2011).
Jennifer has worked in the field of addiction and mental health for over 15 years. She has received intensive training in CBT, CPT and Exposure Therapy as well as Prolonged Exposure for trauma.
Jennifer is passionate about helping people and aims to create a safe and comfortable space for every person that she sees. She believes that every person is on their own journey and deserves to live free and equal, no matter who they love. She is a proud ally to the LGBTQ community.
Her therapy focus has been on anxiety, stress and depression, however, she is continually updating her skills to provide a wide range of counselling services, including psychodynamic (talk therapy), DBT, mindfulness and exposure therapy.
Jennifer specializes in working with adults and teens. Her passion is working with people struggling with uncertainty, stress and life transitions. She has worked with people who have symptoms of PTSD, depression and people struggling with anxiety.
Her approach is client-focused, with an emphasis on compassion and care. Jennifer offers an empathic space to explore thoughts and feelings. Jennifer is passionate about helping people and aims to create a safe and comfortable space for the clients that she sees.
In her spare time, Jennifer loves to read and spend time with her two extremely amusing cats and her
equally funny partner. She also loves classic video games, kickboxing and travel.
